Why There Are Some Cards Can’t Be Frosted?

Are there any restrictions on the production of frosted cards? This can be seen from three aspects to see which card types the frosted card is suitable for.

1. Normal cards
Common cards include: magnetic stripe card, barcode card or blank card. In theory, these card types are suitable for matte cards. Considering this factor of practical operation, a magnetic stripe card is suitable. But the barcode card does not work, it is not recommended for customers to choose this way. Whether it is a card with a flat barcode or a UV barcode, it is not recommended to use the frosted process, which will make the barcode of the card rough and invalid.

2. Inductive chip cards
Inductive chips are commonly used ID chips, IC card chips and T5577, so do they have any effect on frosted cards? We all know that the cards are synthesized from fabrics and medium materials under high temperature and high pressure, and these chips are in the middle layer and are protected by two layers, so they will not be affected by the frosting process.

3. Contact chip cards
As with the proximity chip card, the chip will not be affected. Although these kinds of chips are packaged on the surface of the card, they belong to the card slot type, that is, a card slot is dug on the surface of the card, and then the chip is glued into the slot.

In fact, as long as the frosted material does not affect the technical content and chips on the surface, it can be used most of the time.
